The Nascatec GmbH (Nanoscale Technologies GmbH) is a young high tech company. Our core business ranges from developing and prototyping to producing SPM sensors, SNOM sensors, microgrippers and micromechanics for application in R&D, characterisation of surface topography, process control and micro- and nanomanipulation.

The Nascatec was founded in Kassel (Germany) in close collaboration with the University of Kassel, Institute of Nano Technologies and Analytics (INA). Many years of experience in the field of silicon micromachining, MEMS, SPM techniques, piezoresistive applications, SNOM and related fields are combined in our high tech company. Our R&D and our medium volume production has access to many standard MEMS and micromachining processes as well as standard CMOS processes like wet chemical etching, dry etching, deep silicon etching, high aspect ratio micromachining, oxidation, diffusion metallisation, thin film coating and DLC coating and structuring.

The team that founded the Nascatec combines experience in physics, micro electronics and economics by Mr. W. Barth, Mr. T. Debski and Mr. C. Reitner.

In addition to the upper ongoing partnerships, the Nascatec has numerous projects and collaborations all over the globe with universities, R&D institutions and companies in order to meet the needs of our customers in this rapidly growing market of MEMS, MOEMS and nanotechnology.

Nascatec has its focus on silicon-based MEMS technology and provides SPM-sensors, SNOM-sensors and micromanipulators. Our production is located in a Class 10 to 1000 Cleanroom, that allows wafers from 3 to 6 inch to be produced.

We can provide standard CMOS and MEMS operation like: Photolithography, Wet and dry etching, Thermal processing - wet and dry oxidation, diffusion, Deposition ( metal and dielectric layers), Surface micromachining, Bulk micromachining
