Integrated BioDiagnostics (ibidi) is a nanobiotechnology company specialized on microfluidics and surface chemistry for laboratory routine as well as clinical diagnostics.

ibidi developed a 'Lab-on-a-Slide ' technology platform based on a flow-through micro-slide (µ-Slide) optimized for optical analysis of biomolecules and cells. Currently, the µ-Slide product family includes cell-Slides, for cell-culture and optical microscopy (high resolution, fluorescence, DIC), protein-binding Slides and oligonucleotide array Slides.

The slide- format and high optical quality of the plastic slides allows optical diagnostics to be carried out in an economical, standardized and automated way. Customized solutions are available with the help of a strong R&D team of chemists, biologists und physicists with experience in surface chemistry, nanotechnology, fluidics and optics. Consequently ibidi bridges the gap between molecular biology and micro technology for creating powerful diagnostics solutions.

Besides ibidi’s own product line, ibidi develops µ-slides in collaboration with OEM business partners for different application as in the micro-array market. The business customers use two crucial advantages of the ibidi technology for the increase of the market penetration of their products and higher profits: the integrated fluidic systems increase the user comfort/efficiency and the use of the pure plastic system lower production costs.

We occupy and realize customized bio plastic chips - from chip design to mass production. Right now, ibidi has signed contracts with three business customers for realising a biochip.
