Namos GmbH
Namos GmbH, formerly BoneMaster GmbH, is a start up company founded 1998 in Dresden, Germany. The company has currently six employees and is focusing on development of complete surface solutions based on bionanotechnology.
After successful development of a unique technology for producing coatings for bone implants, which is meanwhile introduced into the market by one of the biggest implant manufacturers in the world, the company has broadened its technology base. By using complex biological molecules as templates Namos is able to design nanostructured functional surfaces which combine high technical performance with an outstanding ease of use.
One of the companies main fields of interest is the development of optimized catalytic surfaces based on biologic templates. Specific know-how in this field could be acquired in particular as a partner in joint research projects by the European Community and the German government. Beside of its specific know-how in producing nanostructured surfaces Namos has experience in coating characterization regarding structure and composition, mechanical properties as well as fermentation of biological templates.
Beside our project business we recently started a webshop providing innovative products directly from science to scientific customers. There we offer products that fulfil at least one of the following criteria:
- Products that are otherwise not commercially available
- Products with unique properties otherwise not commercially available
- Products optimized to specific applications that result in simple handling
- New material of quality that is otherwise not available
