Particular is a young German nanotech company, founded in 2009, that produces nanoparticles using a novel method that stands for high purity, applicational safety, and the largest material variety.
Applying a non-chemical laser ablation process, Particular fabricates nanoparticles dispersed in liquids that can consist of virtually any material - even pure metals. The particles can be generated directly in water as well as organic solvents.
The laser method also allows the conjugation of charged gold nanoparticles to customer-defined biomolecules with high conjugation efficiencies. This is a long-lasting, most biocompatible alternative to fluorophores or quantum dots for applications like nano-imaging and -targeting.
