PARTICLE METRIX develops and distributes analysis systems for the determination of particle charge and size of aqueous dispersions. With these analyzers an overall size range from 0.8 nm up to 100 µm is covered. Depending on the sample and the analysis task, concentrations from single particles up to 40% can be presented to the instruments. Both described instruments offer size distributions. The focus of the innovation lies in improving proven principles for routine laboratory work.
The focus is on small particles, starting with Dynamic Lightscattering (DLS) detecting Particle Sizes from 1 nm up to a few mm. The range from 10 nm to 2 mm is covered by Laser Diffraction and Mie-Scattering.
Within the colloidal range of nanoparticles, the interface to the fluid surrounding has a prominent impact. It significant contributes to Dispersion Stability. Here, PARTICLE METRIX established very well with its own electro kinetic analysers: Whether Zeta Potential, specific charge or charge sensitive Titrations are demanded, mostly all challenges of Particle Characterisation in the range between 1 nm and 100 µm, also on concentrated samples, can be managed.
