Fraunhofer Institute for Non-Destructive Testing

Scientists and technicians at the Fraunhofer Institute for Non-Destructive Testing (IZFP), Dresden branch, develop innovative methods and testing systems to characterize materials, to control product quality and to monitor manufacturing processes and plant components. The Dresden branch co-ordinates within the overall Fraunhofer Institute IZFP the business units Aviation and Aerospace, Electronics / Microsystem Engineering / Nanotechnology and Environmental and Energy Technology / Life Sciences. The working groups in Dresden possess special competencies for developing Complex Testing System and Systems for Structural Health Monitoring, in NDE for Micro- and Nanostructures, for developing Sensor Systems and in Optical Diagnosis.
