Nanoinitiative Bayern GmbH
The Nanoinitiative Bayern GmbH is responsible for the management of the Cluster Nanotechnology in Bavaria which is funded within the Cluster Offensive Bavaria by the Bavarian State Government. The main objective is the continuous development of a nanotechnology network of competence for an efficient transfer of R&D results into applications in the economy. For this purpose, it is essential to closely link the research, industrial and educating sectors. The focus is especially on interlinking small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) with universities, universities of applied sciences and public research institutions.
The network association 'Nanonetz Bayern e.V.’ acts as open platform for the cluster activities. While concentrating and coordinating the major competences from research, industry, education and service providers, synergies are created to mainly support the implementation of nanotechnological subjects into the social and economical space.
Major competences:• Promotion of cooperations between R&D institutions and industrial partners
• Initiation, support and coordination of projects up to complete project management
• Support of project applications
• Support of application-oriented research
• International research marketing
• Organisation of seminars and workshops with nanotechnological subjects
• Sourcing and preparation of knowledge with questions pertaining to nanotechnology
• Promotion of nanotechnological content of teaching in schools and at the universities
• Open discussion of chances and risks of nanotechnologies
