The AlphaContec Consulting & Services GmbH (thereafter AlphaContec) is active in the development, production and sales of innovative devices in the following fields of (1) atomic force microscopes and (2) sensors for medical diagnostics. The products offered by AlphaContec will benefit various industries:

  • Significantly improving investigation techniques in the sub- micron range
  • Broader applications to users
  • Affordability and user- friendliness of the device

The company was founded in August 2001 and has currently 7 employees, mostly based in Golm, Germany, and with a second office in Berlin. Recently AlphaContec has established two additional business segments, the Nanotechnology and the Life Science Division. The Nanotechnology Group is responsible for development, production and selling of the microscopes. The Life Science Devision is developing new applications for the microscopes in this field and new cantilever based tools for molecular diagnostics. Both groups have access to a huge network worldwide in their respective working fields and cooperate with different groups from university, research labs and industry. The management team consists of Dr. Jens Ulbrich (Managing director) and Mr. Holger Breter (Manager Life Science) and is responsible for the general strategy, for managing the cooperation partners of AlphaContec as well as the distributors. Additionally Mr. Breter and Dr. Ulbrich are using their excellent connections in the SPM market to personally care for key customers.
