Nanofilm Technology GmbH develops, manufactures and distributes optical measuring instruments for the analysis of surfaces and thin films which are used as materials in many different applications.
Nanofilm Technology GmbH was founded in 1991 as a technology transfer venture of the Max-Planck-Institute for Biophysical Chemistry in Goettingen, Germany. It began as a small and dynamic company but the team of employees has continuously grown.
Nanofilm differentiates its global mission by providing the highest level of expert scientific knowledge about the broadest array of material surface analysis and biotechnology applications. The underlying technology of imaging ellipsometry in combination with microscopy and sophisticated image processing spawns advanced solutions that inspire new and exciting applications. The third generation of our flagship imaging ellipsometer, the EP³, offers a completely new detection method combining non-contact, non-destructive, and label-free techniques to deliver rapid laboratory results.
A modular platform, the EP³, may be scaled to the customer’s individual needs and laboratory requirements. Thus Nanofilm offers a variety of optical, mechanical and software modules and accessories including kinetic-cells and automated stages.
Nanofilm distributes our products and services through an international marketing network with approximately 80% of instrument sales done by export. The network is organized by the triad: Europe, North America and Asia.
Europe is served by Nanofilm Technology GmbH in Germany, while North America is served by Nanofilm’s subsidiary Accurion Corporation in Silicone Valley, California and Asia is served by a select group of ten local distributors. Technical support worldwide is provided by Nanofilm staff in Germany.
