Solarion GmbH
The areas of occupation of Solarion GmbH, which was founded in April of 2000, are the
development, production, and marketing of flexible thin film solar cells. The basis is a new
technology for the production of the high-absorbing CIS semiconductor compound.
The flexible CIS solar cells are:
+ ultra light and super thin
A layer thickness of the CIS absorber of 1/1000 mm in the solar cell is sufficient for
the almost complete absorption of sunlight. This layer applied to an already thin
polymer foil leads to unparalleled product advantages.
+ flexible
The solar cells can be rolled like a piece of paper. They are therefore especially
adapted to applications on curved surfaces.
+ efficient
The efficiency of the flexible solar cells in the pilot production phase is > 8%. This
favorable absorption allows many indoor and outdoor applications.
+ cost reducing
Production in a continuous roll to roll process allows significant cost reductions as
compared to conventional production methods.
