Nanotechnology themes bundled on HANNOVER MESSE 2012
(23.-27.April 2012)

Making Nanotechnology visible and recognizable for the markets – focused on this aim Nano in Germany brings important players in Nanotechnology together on the world´s largest technology exhibition, HANNOVER MESSE, for the first time.

All Nano exhibitors across the trades are integrated cross-sectoral from research to development and practical applications. So the trade visitor gets a unique overview of current applications of nanotechnology in industry and also experiences which trends and visions are going to be developed in research laboratories.

Associated partners in the initiative use the special developed brand “Nano in Germany” and so they allow the users a quick orientation. The Nano Guide – HANNOVER MESSE 2012 - supports interested visitors with appropriate floor plans and additional information in search of current solutions. Relevant facts and figures are available in advance. The performance of the initiative is completed by various lectures within the scope of Tech Transfer in hall 2 and the forum “Innovations for Industry” in hall 17.

Three special events are focal points for exhibitors and trade visitors. The thematic presentation WoN World of Nano (Hall 2, D 50) presents a major part of the nano-industry with show exhibits from the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) as well as leading institutions, research organizations and companies at the leading trade Research and Technology in Hall 2. International companies show pre-commercial solutions on SchauPlatz NANO (Hall 5, G27). Suisse Technology Partners AG introduces with ALUCOBOND media an innovative approach, which links surface with media content. FRT Fries Research & Technology GmbH shows 3D surface metrology with nanometer resolution for production and research on group stand IVAM (Hall 17, C48). On the forum “MicroTechnology – Smart Systems for Automation”, developed by trade association IVAM, approved experts on Nanotechnology will present their latest innovations.

The initiative “Nano in Germany” provides through joint action a long term and permanent way for all actors to be visible and increases public acceptance of nanotechnology as a technology to add value and benefit of mankind. National and international companies, organizations, associations and research facilities use the INITIATIVE “Nano in Germany” as a common staple on the market.

Among the initiators and founding members are Beiersdorff GmbH, Deutscher Verband Nanotechnologie e.V., Fraunhofer Allianz Nanotechnologie, IVAM Fachverband für Mikrotechnik, RunKom Ralf Unnasch, VDI Fachbereich Nanotechnik and VDI Technologiezentrum GmbH.

Deutsche Messe, holding the HANNOVER MESSE, is also partner of the initiative.
