WITec is a manufacturer of high resolution optical and scanning probe microscopy solutions for scientific and industrial applications. A modular product line allows the combination of different microscopy techniques such as Raman, NSOM, or AFM in one instrument. The alpha300 R is a Raman imaging systems, focusing on high resolution as well as high speed spectra and image acquisition. The acquisition time for a single Raman spectrum is in the range of one millisecond or even below; thus, a complete Raman image consisting of tens of thousands of spectra can be obtained in one minute or less. Differences in chemical composition, although completely invisible in the optical image, will be apparent in the Raman image and can be ana-lyzed with a resolution down to 200 nm.

The alpha500 is an automated Confocal Raman and Atomic Force Microscopy System incorpo-rating a motorized sample stage for large samples and customized multi-area/multi-point meas-urements. It allows nondestructive chemical imaging with Confocal Raman Microscopy as well as high resolution topography imaging with AFM using the integrated piezo scan-stage. Both modes can be run fully automatically, guaranteeing the most comprehensive surface inspection possibilities for systematic and routine research tasks or high-level quality control.
